Gene Johnson is vice president at Rothschild, having joined the firm in 1991. In addition, Gene is a member of the Illinois Bar.
Prior to joining Rothschild, Gene managed assets for six years at Citicorp Asset Management. As head of investments for the central region of that group’s private banking and investment division, he was responsible for trust, agency and IRA rollover accounts. Gene held a similar position at The Northern Trust Company for eleven years, where he managed one of the bank’s common trust funds.
Gene received a bachelor’s in economics from the University of Illinois and a Juris Doctorate from Illinois Institute of Technology Chicago – Kent College of Law.
