Richard F. Karger
Dick is Chairman and CEO of Rothschild and is a member of its Executive Committee, which handles all aspects of the firm’s strategic direction. After coming over from Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. in 1975, Dick founded Rothschild’s Investment Management department in 1976.
Dick is also responsible for managing the assets of individual clients, trusts, family accounts, IRA’s and corporate retirement plans. In addition to these duties, he frequently contributes comments and articles which are featured in both local and national investment publications.
Dick earned a bachelor’s degree from Colorado College and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
Dick is a former chairman and a current member of the investment committee of the Chicago Child Care Endowment Fund. He also previously served on the board of Lake Shore Country Club in Glencoe, IL, is a member of Lake Shore Country Club in Glencoe, IL, and is currently serving on two association boards at the Mauna Kea Resort in Kamuela, HI.
